Urban capital; the most valuable wealth for sustainable development
IUESA: Seyyed Mohsen Tabatabaei, the secretary of IUESA in a meeting on “human resources and urban development” referred to the key role of human resources in achieving to development and progress, he said: today, improving human resources is considered as engine of growth and development nationally and internationally in organizational levels.
Highlighting that the most important capital is efficient human force in every country, he added: today, most of developed countries obtain more than 6 per cent of their wealth from human capital and not physical one.
Stating that top documents of human capital development in the country are regarded as a basic assumption of Islamic development, Managing director of the Journal of Urban Economics and Management said for example, the strategy 8 Holistic Scientific Map and first paragraph of the notice of general economic policy of resistance clearly noted the role of human resource development in the growing and development of the country and this development cannot be achieved except through locally produced sciences.
Discussing about the situation of human capital indexes in the country, he added: According to a report by global institutions like the World Economic Forum and the United Nations, although our country is growing, the situation is far from ideal.
Noting that the latest report of the World Economic Forum with a score of 63.2 per cent, in the Human Capital Index has gained 80 positions, he said According to the Human Development Report of the United Nations in 2015, Iran in 2014 compared to the previous trend of growth and ranked 69 with a score of 0.766 in the world in a recent report.
Referring to improvement of Iran’s position in human capital development indexes, the secretary of IUESA: undoubtedly intelligent and responsible human resources or the capital are the biggest wealth for sustainable development.
The citizens of a city that are people with knowledge, skill, creativity, energy and spiritually, mentally and physically healthy and in the form of interactive and coherent social network, commitment, responsibility, active and creative, has the same direction, creating urban capital.
