At this meeting, Seyyed Mohsen Tabatabaei, the Secretary of IUESA referred to strengthening communication between scientific associations and universities which it can facilitate production cycle of domestic knowledge and said universities, particularly ATU, can take an important step parallel with development of these communication.

He emphasized that one of the scientific associations’ expectations from academia is introducing and indexing sites, magazines and other scientific documents related to the associations on the universities’ web sites, adding that universities can also facilitate the access to foreign scientific websites such as Business Source, Pro quest, Science Direct, Scopus, Premier and etc.

University officials should provide the possibility of membership of university students and professors in the relevant scientific associations, he added.

The cooperation between universities and scientific associations is a strategy for moving toward production of interdisciplinary knowledge. Nowadays, scientific associations expect universities, particularly ATU, to facilitate transferring university knowledge, research and training experiences to the associations and vice versa, he further said.

Hossein Salimi, the president of ATU emphasized the special place of scientific associations in production of domestic knowledge. We try to provide the condition for participation of associations in designing fields.
